Vishva Hindu Parishad of Australia welcomes all to the 4 th Australian National Hindu Conference entitled “Organizing Community Strengthening Australia” to be held on September 26, 2015 at Melbourne, Victoria.

 

Wherever Hindus live, they contribute immensely in the field of Economy, Science, Technology, Health, Administration, Education and Culture. Hindus have been at the forefront of strengthening democracy by actively practicing pluralism as well as safeguarding human rights of all citizens.

 

Hindu Dharma and Culture is a unifying factor, not a dividing factor. Diversity in traditions, languages, diet, dress, art and customs are held together by a social structure, which provides the extraordinary cohesive force around which Hindu culture gravitates.“Seva” (selfless service) is a core value that under pins Hindu Dharma and Society.

 

Vishva Hindu Parishad of Australia believes in the ideals of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (world is one family) and has been actively serving the community.

 

There are many Temples, Organizations, Associations, Institutions, groups and individuals in Hindu society working actively to organize Hindus and strengthen wider Australian society.

 

This 4th National Hindu Conference will provide platform to organize community on the foundation of Bonding, Sharing, Sustaining, Networking, Collaborating, and Organizing in the spirit of strengthening Australia.

 

The Conference will be in the interest of general public who are keen to learn about organizing communities and serving society, volunteers who are interested in various models of volunteering as well as community development. It will also be of interest to community development practitioner and academician who may wish to observe or work with specific community organization.

 

One of the goals of this conference is to provide a platform and to bring together all Hindu volunteers, organizations, associations, and temples currently contributing to organize the society.

 

There will be sessions on:

 

1. Hindu Contribution to Australia

2. Collaboration among Hindu Organizations, Temples and Associations

3. Working with the Government Agencies

4. Bridging the gap among the Hindus coming from different countries
